I’ve held a series of funds and investment trusts for a few years, since I was given a few thousand pounds by my two grandmothers. These included Jupiter India, Marlborough UK Micro Cap Growth, BlackRock Emerging Markets, Legal & General All Stocks Index Linked Gilt Index Trust, L&G International Index and L&G US Index. Perhaps best of all, however, has been Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust. This year I’ve become more interested in buying small cap AIM shares, but to date have only made a single investment with some outstanding cash. However, this month I’ve decided to buy more, after divesting myself of the funds and investment trusts (having held them through the market turmoil at the start of the year). The exception will be holding on to Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, because I’m very keen on owning shares in Tesla, and SMT is very heavily invested in this fast growing stock.
